Welcome Letter from Chris (PYE Founder)
PYE Digital Discipleship Curriculum
Opening Letter
Updated: April 24, 2025
Thank you for prioritizing Digital Discipleship! Some have heard me say that teaching our children how to be responsible digital disciples might be more important than STEM for their long-term well-being. And this curriculum is unlike anything else in the digital education market right now. Because Digital Discipleship is different than Digital Citizenship.
Digital discipleship serves our families, schools, churches, and communities by integrating biblical virtues such as love, integrity, stewardship, justice, kindness, and evangelism into our digital lives. It also encourages Christians to propagate Christ-centered digital environments, where their online presence reflects their conviction to demonstrate Christlikeness in all aspects of life.
There are six lessons within each grade band (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12). Within each lesson, there are up to three options, so that teachers can develop a rotation.
FAQ:
Q: Why are the lessons all housed in Google Drive?
A: For maximum flexibility. You can download everything to your local machine. This includes downloading the videos from Vimeo.
Q: How long is each lesson?
A: We estimate that many lessons could be done in around 15 minutes. This will, of course, vary based on age and discussion time.
Q: What if I have trouble with the curriculum? Who should I contact?
A: If, while using this content, you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].
Warmly,
Chris McKenna
